Project Overview
Cronin Enterprises’ Civil Division completed a major sanitary sewer installation for the Saxonburg Area Authority, extending critical infrastructure through a demanding corridor along Tower Road. The project scope included clearing and grubbing approximately 3,500 LF of right-of-way, installation of 3,200 LF of 10″ PVC sanitary sewer pipe, boring and installation of carrier pipe under Tower Road and adjacent railroad tracks, installation of 15 precast manholes ranging from 5′ to 25′ in depth, concrete encasements at all stream crossings, tie-in to the municipal sanitary system, Tower Road restoration utilizing tar and chip, and full right-of-way restoration with hydroseed and erosion control blanket.
The project presented a range of technical challenges that demanded skilled crews and precise execution. Our team performed rock excavation to achieve proper pipe elevations, successfully completed directional borings beneath both an active roadway and railroad tracks, and executed deep manhole installations reaching depths of up to 25′ while maintaining safety and schedule throughout.
Backed by experienced crews, modern equipment, and a safety-first culture, the project was delivered efficiently and in full compliance with all engineering and municipal requirements.
