Do you own your equipment or subcontract?
We own and operate our fleet. We don’t rely on rental yards or outside equipment contractors for our core work. That means faster mobilization, consistent crews, and better cost control on your job.
Can Cronin handle both the civil and rail work on the same job?
Yes. Our civil and rail capabilities overlap on most jobs. Site prep, access road construction, excavation, ballast work, and track installation are all in-house. One contract, one crew, one point of contact.
What is a high rail truck and why does it matter?
A high rail truck is a vehicle that can operate on both roads and railroad tracks. It lets our crews move equipment and personnel directly on the rail without needing a work train or extended track blockage. That speed matters on emergency calls and tight maintenance windows.
Do you haul bulk materials for rail and civil jobs?
Yes. Our tri-axle dump trucks deliver limestone, gravel, sand, rail ballast, topsoil, and other materials. Tri-axle delivery is available through our RCI Supply division for both project-based and scheduled delivery.
Can you handle transloading from rail cars to trucks?
Yes. We provide direct rail car to truck commodity transfer, load adjustments, load reductions, and warehousing. If your freight needs to move from rail to road, we handle it on site without additional logistics coordination.
