Settlers Cabin Trail
Improvements
Client: Allegheny County
Service: Civil Construction
Location: Ridge Rd, Pittsburgh PA
Project Overview
Cronin Enterprises’ Civil Division completed trail and site improvements at Settlers Cabin Park for Allegheny County, delivering upgraded recreational infrastructure across the Ridge Road corridor. The project scope included demolition, site preparation, earthwork, fine grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, storm piping, waterline installation, asphalt trail paving, landscaping, and all related construction activities.
Working within an active county park required careful coordination to maintain public access while executing a diverse scope of work. Our team installed two natural stone walls to complement the character of the park, constructed a new ADA-accessible parking lot serving the shelter area, and paved a nearly mile-long asphalt walking trail that significantly expands the recreational experience for park visitors.
Backed by experienced crews, modern equipment, and a safety-first culture, the project was delivered efficiently and in full compliance with all engineering and County requirements.
